We shipped a lot this month. Smarter travel-time estimates that account for your actual pace, the option to follow other cyclists and keep up with their routes, one-click sync with Hammerhead, and a batch of smaller planner improvements. Here's what's new.

What’s new in VeloPlanner - July 2026

We've refreshed the dashboard

We've added several options to make the dashboard more useful. You can now: switch between list and card views, sort, filter, and search routes and collections. When you click on a specific route, a few new options appear: quick editing of route details and switching a route from private to public.

Log in to your dashboard and let us know what you think of the new look.

Travel time estimates tailored to your average speed

The new time calculation model takes into account surface type, road type, elevation, and your average speed on flat terrain. When planning a route, adjust your speed for a more accurate travel time estimate. Also available in our mobile app.

What's new in the planner?

Small but mighty features — we've added the option to avoid ferries and major roads. Also available in our mobile app.

POIs marked along your route now appear on the elevation profile chart.

Following other users

Is your neighbour a route planning wizard? Or maybe you're looking for inspiration from a local guide? You can now follow other users and keep track of their routes and collections.

Reviews and info from around the world

No matter what language they were written in, all reviews added to VeloPlanner are automatically translated into your language.

And if you want to learn more about a specific place you're visiting, Wikipedia is there to help - its content appears when you click on a POI (e.g. historical attractions).

HAMMERHEAD sync

Hammerhead has joined the list of devices you can sync with in just one click.

If you'd like us to add a feature to VeloPlanner or have any feedback — we'd love to hear from you.
